My Literal Birth Certificate at the time with identification by KEY

This service will allow you to obtain your Literal Birth Certificate, at the moment, whenever it is possible to issue it online. It is necessary to identify yourself by one of the methods provided in CODE.
To do this, your identity data will be verified, using the "Query of identity data" service provided by the General Directorate of the Police, you can oppose said query by not using this service.
In case you:
- Opposes the above verification;
- Need a special certificate (multilingual, excerpted, multilingual...);
- Need it for a specific purpose (for example, to obtain the ID or passport for the first time or by changing data in them);
- Need to request it for a third party;
- Or other specific cases.

Application for birth certificate with electronic certificate

To access this procedure you must have a digital certificate or to be registered in Clave to uniquely identify yourself.
The certification that is applied for can be for yourself, or for another person.
From the data provided in your application, the availability of the information by electronic means will be verified. If available, your certification will be issued on the spot. If this is not the case, the system will inform you if you will receive the certificate by mail at the address you indicate in the application, or provide you with information on what you should do to obtain it.
It will not be possible to make applications for the same certificate until 15 days after the previous one. This limitation does not affect applications for certificates that may be issued on the spot.
In the event of applying for the certificate as a third party authorised by the registrant or their representative, if the request is addressed to a Civil Registry office in which the new Civil Registry model, law 20/2011, has already been implemented, the provision of an authorisation from the registrant may be required, in this case you can use the following authorisation form (PDF, 60 KB)
Application for birth certificate without electronic certificate

The certification that is applied for can be for yourself, or for another person.
The certificate applied for in this way will always be sent by ordinary mail to the address indicated in the request.
If you have a digital certificate or are registered in Clave, you can use the service that does require electronic identification and that you will find on this same page and through which, if possible, you can obtain the certificate online.
It will not be possible to make applications for the same certificate until 15 days after the previous one. This limitation does not affect applications for certificates that may be issued on the spot.

Given the accumulated volume of requests for the issuance of birth certificates due to the strike of civil servants in the service of the Administration of Justice, and even though they are being handled as quickly as possible, there is a delay in sending them, so we remind you that, if you are the registered person or your legal representative and the date of birth registration is after 1950, you can use the service for requesting certificates with electronic identification through Cl@ve, which will allow you to download it automatically when you make the request.

Verification and unloading of electronic documents issued by the Civil registry for third parties

Consultation of data on Civil Registry entries

Through this service, you can obtain information on registry data with merely informative value, and in no case is it considered to be a certification of the Civil Register entries. This data includes the most relevant data collected in the main birth registrations from 1996 to October 2021 and marriage from 1989 to September 2021.
It does not include those data whose registration must be recorded in the margin of the main registration, for example: change of name and/or surname, divorce, nationality, etc. referred to in articles 39, 46, 62, 76 and 77 of the Civil Register Act. Nor those referring to the Guardianship Section.
